POSITION TITLE: Grounds and Facility Maintenance Labourer
REPORTS TO: Grounds and Facility Maintenance Supervisor
TENTATIVE START DATE: June 26th, 2023, 35+hr/week
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Must have/be:
Excellent Organization and communication skills
WHMIS Training*
Valid Driver’s Licence is an Asset
Emergency First Aid and CPR*
*Can be obtained during training week
POSITION PROFILE: The Grounds and Facility Maintenance Staff will work in a team setting to maintain HMCCs indoor/outdoor facilities and open spaces on the property.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To maintain existing facilities to the standards directed by Grounds and Facility Supervisor
2. To ensure that all equipment is maintained daily
3. To carry out field preparations on HMCC grounds as per direction from Supervisor
4. To carry out maintenance on HMCC grounds which includes but not limited to: mowing, whipping, weeding, garbage and washroom cleaning.
5. To perform beautification tasks; weeding beds, watering plants, tree maintenance
6. To participate in training sessions as directed by the Recreation Director or the Grounds and Facilities Supervisor. (i.e. Emergency First Aid, WHMIS, etc.)
7. To report to the Grounds and Facilities Supervisor daily.
8. To ensure any assigned work is completed as requested by the Grounds and Facilities Supervisor, or Recreation Director.
